National Guard Planning Move to Buck Hill, Burrillville

http://states.ng.mil/sites/RI/Pages/RegionalTrainingInstituteRelocationProposal.aspx
Click on states, for the "Rest of the Story" and also click on the 12-10-14 Burrillville Town Council meeting video for the discussion on the very serious subject. The Rhode Island National Guard did not give our Town Council enough time to discuss and make a recommendation of their views. How about a Public Hearing on something this important that will effect every future generation in Northern Rhode Island. The pristine Wallum Lake is the( Last) body of fresh potable drinking water we have left in the State of Rhode Island and should be used gravity fed to the Pascoag residents who are being double billed from Harrisville's system. In 2004 when I ran for Dist. 47 the Rhode Island Guard wanted to come up with the Blackhawk Helicopters Training site and was narrowly put on the back burner to now. I do not want to see another North Smithfild, R.I. Nike Site "Brownfield "or the largest polluted under ground plume that is under Cape Cod and moving from the neglect and burying at the Military Base there.  Wayne G. Barber
